About Me
Hello! My name is Steven. I grew up in small-town Texas and now I reside in Austin. I enjoy Photography, Basketball, Gaming, Pop Culture, and–of course—delicious food in my spare time. I have been operating as a Freelancer for 3 years, designing logos and marketing material for startups and small businesses, but have been creating fun projects for over 15 years. I see Art & Design as a lifestyle rather than a job – there is always something new to learn and there are always opportunities to grow.
I find inspiration all around, but my biggest source is the story of Aaron Draplin. I find his genuine, down-to-earth approach to design to be very relatable and it serves as guidance on how I want to operate as a Designer. I also follow Chris Do and the futur team for their invaluable insights on the business side of the industry.
Professionally, I work within the Residential Architecture realm drafting drawings for construction. I learned a mix of Architecture and Graphic Design in the Environmental Design program at Texas A&M, but ultimately chose to follow Architecture for my professional work. While I have been successful in my career, I am currently pursuing a creative path that will allow me to reach my full potential. I am passionate about taking ideas and bringing them to life, so I am focused on making Graphic Design work my every-day.
